On a songwriters mind this week #7

Howdy folks!

Released my first album this week! The Puppet Master, and other folk songs, is available from by band camp site here:

I've also written and released two new songs this week, With A Friend and A Little Better. The first song is a sentimental one in the style of Randy Newman that could have been on the soundtrack to Toy Story 3 or something, I wanted to go for that classic friendly vibe. The second song, A Little Better, is about social smokers, why we do it and tries to explain a bit about why I still do it occasionally. Of course there's a woman involved, as you'd expect! Lastly I've just finished off the second draft of my lyrics for my first musical, The Manors. I've got 15 songs now, including two ensemble pieces, a comedy duet and a reprise of the main theme. It is all coming together but I am certainly not rushing it, it takes as long as it takes. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank my loving new wife Jo for all her support and love she's shown me over the years that has let me get on with my music without disturbing the peace too much. I love you so much my love xxx
