UK Country (no, really)

There isn't really a country music movement in the UK. Or is there? A fair few country themed pubs and venues have opened up in my neck of the woods lately (Kent). Dolly rocked Glastonbury, Johnny Cash can be found on any respectable iPod... hold on, is there something rumbling in the shires? I'd like to think so.

The Nashville TV series took the genre to a whole new, hip audience - the superb Elvis Costello wrote some of the songs for that project. So where is the first British Juliette Barnes? Who carries the spirit of Deacon Claybourne? Our happiness depends on you!

I'll be bringing some new songs to the table in the next few weeks with more than a few nods to fantastic artists including Bob Dylan (think John Wesley Harding, Nashville Skyline era), Johnny Cash (where do I begin, simply great stories) and more. I'm on board the country train, who else is with me?
